Movie Night – Friday, May 30, 6:45 – Standard Operating Procedure

at the Embassy Theater in Waltham. Mick Provencher, our movie aficionado has picked this four star documentary which demands discussion. The discussion will be help at the Provencher Ethier home and we can bring refreshments to share. Anyone who has seen this movie at other times is invited to come to the discussion which should begin around 9:00. Director Errol Morris (The Fog of War) set out to examine the context of these photographs, talking directly to the soldiers who took them and who were in them. After two years of investigation, he amassed a million and a half words of interview transcript, thousands of pages of unredacted reports, and hundreds of photographs. The story of Abu Ghraib is still shrouded in moral ambiguity, but it is now clear what Happened there. Sign up at coffee hour or contact Helen Lane 781 235 4911 or Helen.Lane@comcast.net
